MCA

The Malankara Catholic Association (MCA) is the official lay apostolate of the Syro-Malankara Catholic Church. It aims to unite laity and inspire them to embody Eastern Christian values, enrich secular society, and support Church initiatives.

Core Purpose & Values

• Faith & Culture: Dedicated to preserving and promoting Syro-Malankara Catholic traditions, Eastern Christian values, and gospel principles in everyday life.

• Social Presence: Equips lay members to be an effective, active Christian presence within their local communities and broader society.

• Church Support: Works alongside the church hierarchy to address community needs, organize spiritual renewal programs, and strengthen fellowship. 

Structure & Leadership

• Spiritual Direction: Guided by appointed spiritual advisors (often senior priests or bishops) who oversee the moral and spiritual alignment of the association.

• Organizational Setup: The MCA operates at various levels ranging from local parish units up to the eparchial (diocese) and national/international levels.
